Bethan Pinhey - Harper Adams UniversityI work at a busy university that specialises in agriculture and food production but courses in related areas are expanding and these include animal studies. One of our most popular courses is veterinary nursing, with students able to study for both foundation and honours degrees.

As part of their training all vet nursing students are expected to go out on placement and get first-hand experience of working in vet practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students and it is vital they look the part!

This year was no exception and we needed a variety of workwear including tunics, trousers and scrubs suitable for our 60 students.

The main things we are looking for when placing an order for uniforms are really around the practicalities such as making sure they are easy to clean and dry. But the fit of the clothing is also key and they have to look smart. We were delighted to be able to get the Harper Adams logo embroidered on each uniform, which really makes a difference to the look and feel of the design.

Every student out on placement is representing our university, so a standardised uniform is important and students love them because it makes them feel official and more part of the vet teams they are working with.

Grahame Gardner’s products ticked all the boxes for what we need. This is the second order we have placed with them because we have been particularly pleased with the level of service we have received compared to other companies we have used in the past. They just ensure the process is so easy for us from start to finish and that makes such a difference.”
