This June, dental professionals and suppliers gathered at Leicester’s King Power Stadium for the Professional Professional Dentistry 2016
Dentistry East Midlands Show 2016. Chris Watson, marketing coordinator at Grahame Gardner Ltd, attended the show. In his latest blog, he shares his experience and findings:

At Grahame Gardner, we pride ourselves on understanding our customers, their industries and needs, which is why exhibitions such as Professional Dentistry provide such a vital platform for us.

Held at the King Power Stadium - home of Premier League champions Leicester City Football Club - the event is one of the main dates in the dentistry calendar each year.

We were at the exhibition to showcase our latest workwear ranges: Advance and Vitality.

We are all very excited about our Advance range as this is a truly unique product we are offering and our latest innovation. The range allows customers to fully customise their uniform to match their corporate image by having their company logo or colours Dye Sublimated within the fabric. Like a tattoo the ink impregnates the fabric making its effect permanent and therefore unaffected by washing and ironing.

Our Advance range went down a storm, people loved the concept and we received a number of enquires and customers wanting presentations created for them to send after the show.

I had the pleasure of speaking to a number of attendees and the customers loved the feel of the garments and designs available to them.

A lot of people also mentioned they like the idea of having branding on their uniforms and believe Advance uniforms will enhance their corporate image.

The hard work does not just start on the day of the exhibition; the preparation actually begins months before when the booking is made. As marketing coordinator, my job is to ensure we have all the necessary equipment ready for the show, be that pull ups boards, tables, chairs, marketing material etc. We printed 2000 new postcards for this show explaining our Advance range to hand out to attendees, which we designed in-house.

All the hard work and effort put into this show paid off and it was great to show off our new ranges and take a step back and be proud of the work we all as a company have put into this exhibition and the new ranges.

Also the lunch was amazing, so if more free lunches like that are provided at exhibitions I think I shall be attending a few more in the future!
