We have made a special donation to the NHS so hardworking healthcare staff can join in with the activity to mark VE Day this weekend.

Donating 160 scrub tops adorned in Union Jack flags to Great Ormond Street Hospital, we wanted staff at one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals to feel part of marking one of the country’s most historic moments.

The NHS is currently facing an extremely challenging times as staff work tirelessly to deal with the current coronavirus pandemic, but, as Simon Ward, group sales director at Grahame Gardner explains, it’s hoped the new scrub wear will help bring some light relief to staff and patients who are in hospital over the VE day weekend.

Said Simon: “We know what a difficult time the NHS has been faced with recently but, through our work supplying uniforms to the front line, we’ve been privileged to see at firsthand how staff have adapted to this unprecedented situation and done all they possibly can to look after the nation during this time. We have nothing but absolute admiration for them and their efforts.

“As a little way of saying thank you we have donated some special ‘Union Jack’ scrubs for staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London to wear as we just thought it would be a nice talking point for staff and their young patients as the UK marks 75 years since VE day.”
