 Falkirk Caledonia Mixed Choir recently took the decision to sharpen up their image after a successful application for Lottery funding. As they were looking for an original garment for their sixty-strong choir they chose to use Vitality Unique from Grahame Gardner. Although Vitality, the Designerwear Collection was originally developed for the beauty industry, the Vitality Unique service enables clients to tailor designs to their own specific needs – making it a perfect collection for a huge variety of groups and associations.
Established in 1922, Caledonia Choir previously had a relaxed uniform and wanted to invest in a uniform which conveyed their experience and professionalism. After reviewing the garments within the Vitality Collection they chose a tunic top. Choir Secretary Mary McCann explains why: -
“We wanted a style which would suit all shapes, something which looked distinctive and stylish, but did not cling – so decided on a tunic style top. We then modified this top with numerous additions, including the addition of ¾ length sleeves, a different neckline and a red trim around the neck and hem. Grahame Gardner took particular efforts to ensure the final design was fully approved and sent us an entire range of sizes to ensure all the ladies had a tunic which fitted them perfectly. We have been overjoyed with the exceptional level of service we have received throughout this process and urge any other choirs reviewing their uniform to look no further than Grahame Gardner.”
The basic black tunic was modified and manufactured in house at Grahame Gardner’s Leicester factory and all new recruits will also be issued with their own tunic with minimum delay thanks to a personalised express order form issued to the choir.
This process from initial enquiry through sales consultation to delivery was handled by Grahame Gardner’s Sales Manager Les Mitchlemore, who enjoyed working on this order so much that he travelled up to Falkirk to watch the Choir in action for the first time in the new tunics. Needless to say he was duly impressed; “They now look as good as they sound – fabulous!”
