Grahame Gardner have recently won the tender to supply uniforms for the next three years for students not only on the Physiotherapy programme, but also others under the umbrella of the School of Health Sciences; Occupational Therapy, Orthoptics and Medical Imaging & Radiotherapy.
Before these programmes came under the management of the University they operated independently and the Physiotherapy programme historically used Grahame Gardner from the 1970’s until the early 1990’s. However, budgets became more limited in the 1990’s and a cheaper supplier came in to deliver the contract. Sue Davies, Directorate Secretary, comments: -
“We always had a great service from Grahame Gardner and the garments delivered lasted the students exceptionally well. However, when our budgets were reduced we had no choice but to go with an alternative supplier. As Grahame Gardner’s prices have now become so much more affordable they were able to once again pitch for the tender. Their pricing, quality and service agreement were all factors which supported their tender and I am looking forward to working with them once again from September.”
Grahame Gardner will be providing uniforms for around 200 students beginning their studies in September.
Students on these five courses will each receive tunics, trousers and polo shirts, all embroidered with the University Logo and the course title. As many of these students will begin placements almost immediately, Grahame Gardner is currently preparing significant stocks of the University’s chosen garments in order to increase the efficiency of the measuring and fitting process when term begins.
Most students shall be wearing the traditional P146 Tunic in white with a logo embroidered on standard trousers (style 1852) in navy, maroon, bottle green or grey depending on the course. Orthoptic students and Physiotherapy students shall be wearing polo shirts in either white or sky blue with a navy trim.
