Vitality offers Fresh approach to Canterbury College.  11/08/2008
With the Autumn term starting for beauty schools and colleges it should be the right time to take a fresh look at the uniform of students & teachers. And fresh is certainly what the new Vitality Designerwear Collection from Grahame Gardner Ltd offers.

It was this fresh look that appealed to Canterbury College who purchased the uniform several months ago and who have been overwhelmed by the positive attention they have received from the public and other beauty colleges. Canterbury College were looking for a new uniform and not only did the clean and youthful Vitality collection appeal to them but also Grahame Gardner’s dedicated college service was a decisive factor.

In an effort to modernise their uniforms away from the traditional white and give students a more practical and professional appearance, Ruthanne May, Section Manager for Beauty & Holistic Therapies at Canterbury College, contacted Grahame Gardner. She comments: -
“Our students have historically been required to wear white tunics and trousers, but have always done so reluctantly. Often the uniforms would look very scruffy, in particular the white trousers which would pick up dirt easily. Marc from Grahame Gardner took on board our concerns and suggested a combination of brown and duck egg blue. Both the students and staff are delighted with their new uniforms and the training salons are now looking exceptionally smart and professional.”
Both staff and students wear brown trousers with a duck egg blue tunic, with piping and a different neckline being used to differentiate between the tutors and students.

Grahame Gardner’s Marc Edwards worked closely with Canterbury College, providing samples and carrying out measuring services for students. He comments on the popularity of the Vitality collection: -
“With Vitality we wanted to introduce a fresh approach to workwear, something that this fashion conscious industry has always demanded. The response over the last 18 months has demonstrated that we have succeeded in fulfilling this need. We will continue to increase our range of contemporary tunics and colours to offer even wider options. Canterbury College chose a very modern selection of colours in brown and duck egg blue and this has worked perfectly alongside our contemporary styles.”
The Vitality collection can be viewed at www.vitalitywear.co.uk, a website which showcases the collection and also enables customers to purchase night or day from the extensive range. As well as an expansive selection of stock items, customers can also explore the Vitality Unique service, by which customers can customise stock items. Alternatively, for the more ambitious, Vitality Couture provides customers with the use of Grahame Gardner’s in-house design team, who can interpret design and style ideas in order to create a truly individual uniform.
